Novel Nanoparticle Technology
Dual-domain nanoparticle fusion protein (DDNFP)
Nanoparticles are playing an increasingly important role in facilitating development of vaccine and diagnostic products. The company has strong expertise in proprietary use of natural nanoparticle proteins found exclusively in bacteria and archaea. DDNFP is based on a novel nanoparticle protein which uniquely allows simultaneous fusion and surface presentation at both N-and C-termini along with nanoparticle formation. This feature greatly enhances the antigen presentation and is not readily available with other nanoparticle carriers. It can be particularly useful for vaccines and diagnostic products by allowing simultaneous and separate presentation of two or more different domains or antigens.
